Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and old Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves the operas and tangos along with any dramatic performance. After singing with her mom at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous training in singing at 16 under the tutelage of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a young student and professional, she was a part of various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000 she moved to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her love and love for music. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance of Latin American traditional songs, that she can instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation, for keeping this music in the present.
