Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. Involved in the margins of popular and traditional music since she was a teenager, she has also delved into different styles like Hip-Hop Soul and Trap. Pepe Habichuela has described her voice as sweet, sharp but also possessing a bit of bite. El Mal Querer was her major commercial and critical breakthrough in 2018. After Los Angeles garnered her attention as well as a Latin Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist and it was a top hit on the Billboard charts of Latin Pop Albums and she won a Grammy. The hit single La Fama featuring the Weeknd appeared in 2021. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with many artists including Cory Henry, James Blake and others. The album was released on the 20th of March, 2022 following the performance of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the very first Spanish artist to appear solo on the show. Motomami, Rosalia's album that won three Latin Grammy Awards also made Rosalia the first female artist to have the Latin Album of the Year win twice.
